P8015 — Half Moon Deck Light [Brass]

A semi-circular frosted glass lens that casts a soft, diffused glow downward and to the sides. The half-moon shape suits deck fascia, stair risers, and timber walls. Accepts G4 bi-pin bulbs (sold separately). Can be recessed (flush mount) or surface mounted — mounting screws not included.

Best for: deck fascia, stair risers, and retaining walls where a classic semi-circular light pattern suits the design.

Y6572 — Integrated LED Half Moon Bay Step Light [Brass]

The only integrated LED fixture in the lineup — no bulb purchase required. The LED is built in and produces 68 lumens at 1.8W in 3000K warm white. A true plug-and-play step light with no bulb compatibility concerns. Same half-moon silhouette as the P8015 but with an all-in-one design.

Best for: anyone who wants a no-fuss integrated LED solution without sourcing separate bulbs. Slightly lower light output than a G4 LED bulb build — ideal for subtle accent step lighting.

C7486 — Subtle Louvered Step Light [Brass]

A round louvered design with a classic porthole appearance. The circular louvers control light direction and reduce glare, casting a defined pool of light at the base of the step. Accepts G4 bi-pin bulbs (sold separately). Surface mount.

Best for: round-hole installations, porthole-style step lighting, and anywhere a circular fixture shape suits the design.

E9323 — Louvered Step Light [Brass]

A rectangular louvered design — wider than the C7486 with a more contemporary profile. The horizontal louvers direct light forward and downward for clear step illumination. Accepts G4 bi-pin bulbs (sold separately). Surface mount.

Best for: rectangular cut-out installations, modern deck and stair designs, and wider steps where a rectangular fixture suits the proportions.

Installation

Recessed (flush mount): Cut a hole in the mounting surface and recess the fixture for a built-in appearance. Suitable for deck fascia boards, stair risers, and timber walls. Hole saw or jigsaw required. Mounting hardware not included for P8015 — source stainless steel screws separately.

Surface mount: Attach directly to the surface using the rear mounting holes. Simpler installation requiring only a drill and appropriate screws (not included).

Connect the lead wire to your low voltage landscape system using waterproof snap connectors (sold separately). No electrician required.

Which fixtures need a bulb and which don't?

The Y6572 has an integrated LED — no bulb needed. The P8015, C7486, and E9323 all require a 12V G4 bi-pin bulb purchased separately.

What G4 bulb should I use?

Use a 12V G4 bi-pin LED bulb, 1W–3W. For step lighting, lower wattage (1W–2W) is usually sufficient — step lights are safety and accent fixtures, not primary illumination. Choose 2700K–3000K warm white for a natural, inviting look.

Can I recess these fixtures into concrete or masonry?

These fixtures are designed for wood installations — deck fascia, timber risers, and wooden retaining walls. For concrete or masonry installation, consult a contractor for appropriate anchoring methods.

How many step lights can I run on one transformer?

With 2W G4 LED bulbs, each fixture draws 2W. A 150W transformer (120W usable) can power up to 60 step lights. In practice, most deck and stair installs use 6–16 fixtures, well within any Lightkiwi transformer's capacity.

Can I mix step lights with path lights and spotlights on the same transformer zone?

Yes. All Lightkiwi landscape fixtures run on 12V low voltage and connect to the same transformer. Mix fixture types on the same zone as long as total wattage stays within 80% of the transformer's rated capacity.
