Quality item

Solid, high-quality switch. It’s a little bulb than the press button switch, it does not include holes for fixing it to the wall. None of that was an issue for me and I’m very pleased with my purchase.

The Analog Kid

This mechanical action rotary switch feels reliable in its function. Previously, I was using two of the Lightwiki push-button membrane switches included in my light kits. The design flaw in those membrane switches are that the membrane surfaces, over each of the 3- buttons, fatigue quickly and broke/wore through in no time. It seems the plastic covering is not flexible enough and too brittle to be used in this design. However, this review is about rotary switch that replaced the electronic one. This rotary is the switch that should have been the default. Mounting was easy for me. Tip: I used 3M heavy duty double-sided foam mounting tape; powerful material. I also used the tape (instead of the screws) to mount the light bars and used the tape to mount the power supply too. Bonus tip: use those the micro sized command strip tabs/hooks for concealing your wires. Again, back to the switch; I'll recommend the solid, analog, rotary switch any day over the membrane-push.

Just as needed

Worked perfect to bypass the button press switches so I could use WiFi outlets with the led lights

Bought it to use with Alexa

I bought this so I could turn the lights on/off with my Amazon Smart Plug (using Alexa). I previously had the button dimmer version, which worked great but not with the Smart Plug. When the old dimmer would lose power it had to be switched back on manually. This dimmer switch isn’t like that. It stays in the on mode after losing power so when Alexa flips the switch the lights come on. Yay! As far as build quality goes it feels solid and I haven’t
