Lightkiwi's 3.5-inch LED puck lights offer a compact alternative to modular panel lighting — ideal for smaller cabinet sections, corner areas, or anywhere a full-length panel doesn't fit. Each puck delivers a focused, round pool of light directly onto your
countertop, making them a popular choice for accent lighting, display cabinets, and tight spaces where panels aren't practical.

Fully compatible with the Lightkiwi modular system — connect directly to any Lightkiwi power supply using standard interconnect cables, alongside your existing panels. Mix and match puck lights with panels in the same system without any additional hardware.

Puck Lights vs. Panel Lights — Which Should You Choose?

Choose panel lights if:
- You want even, continuous light across the full length of your cabinets
- You're lighting a kitchen countertop for food prep and cooking
- You want a seamless, built-in look with minimal visible fixtures

Choose puck lights if:
- You have shorter cabinet sections or corner cabinets where a full panel won't fit
- You want accent or display lighting — wine cabinets, glass-door cabinets, bookshelves
- You want to supplement an existing panel system with extra light in specific spots
- You prefer the look of individual point-source lights

You can also mix both in the same system — panels for even countertop coverage, puck lights for accent zones.

Warm White vs. Cool White

Warm white (3000K) — soft, golden light. Best for traditional kitchens, dining areas, and display cabinets where ambiance matters.

Cool white (6000K) — crisp, bright light. Best for modern kitchens, workspaces, and areas where task visibility is the priority.

How Many Puck Lights Do I Need?

Each puck produces 280 lumens of focused light. For reference, a single Lightkiwi 12-inch panel produces 1,120 lumens across a wider beam angle. Puck lights work best in multiples — space them 12–18 inches apart for even coverage, or cluster them
closer for accent lighting.

A typical 3-foot cabinet section works well with 2–3 pucks. For a full kitchen run, panels are more efficient — pucks are best for supplemental or accent use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these compatible with my existing Lightkiwi panel system?
Yes. Lightkiwi puck lights connect directly to any Lightkiwi power supply using standard interconnect cables — the same cables used for panels. You can run pucks and panels together on the same power supply as long as total wattage stays within
the power supply's rated capacity.

Can I dim the puck lights?
Yes. All Lightkiwi puck lights are dimmable and work with Lightkiwi's inline dimmer switch, rotary dimmer, and wireless dimmer. If connected to the same power supply as your panels, they dim together.

What is the difference between the white and black body versions?
The light output and specifications are identical — the only difference is the fixture body color. Choose white for cabinets with white or light-colored interiors; choose black for darker cabinets or a more industrial aesthetic.

How do I install puck lights under cabinets?
Surface mount only — the puck attaches to the underside of your cabinet with the included mounting hardware. No recessed cutout required. Most installs take just a few minutes per puck with a screwdriver.

Can I use these in a display cabinet or bookshelf?
Yes. Puck lights are popular for display cabinets, wine racks, bookshelves, and glass-door cabinets. The focused round beam highlights specific items rather than lighting a wide area evenly.
